"Street Legal" was a Canadian tevevision show that aired from the years 1987 to 1994. The show consisted of 8 seasons, and was about the professional and personal lives of a handfull of lawyers in a small law firm of Toronto, Canada. At first, the show focussed on the lives of three law partners: Carrington Barr (Sonja Smits), Leon Robinovitch (Eric Peterson), and Chuck Tchobanian (C. David Johnson). In season three, a new character was introduced, known as Olivia Novak, played by actress Cynthia Dale. Her morally devious character had been responsible for the show's sky rocketing ratings. Other new characters include Dillon Beck (Anthony Sherwood) who played a crown attourney and Carrie's love interest; Alana Newman played by Julie Khaner, who married Leon and eventually became an official judge; Brian Maloney (Ron Lea) who loved to make everyone's lives miserable; and finally Rob Diamond (Albert Schultz) and Laura Crosby (Maria del Mar) who were introduced in season 6.
